Couples dreaming of an intimate wedding with timeless charm are invited to experience something truly unique at the Carriage Affair Wedding Showcase, hosted at DownsSteam Toowoomba.

Set amongst beautifully restored heritage rail carriages, the showcase offers guests the opportunity to explore the romance and elegance of Carriage Affair weddings — intimate pop-up and elopement-style celebrations designed for up to 30 guests.

Taking place on Sunday 12 July 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, the afternoon will give couples a chance to step onto the platform and imagine their perfect wedding day surrounded by vintage rail charm and warm hospitality.

Guests attending the showcase will enjoy:

• A fully styled ceremony setup
• Open access to heritage train carriages
• Champagne on arrival
• Roving canapés from the wedding menu
• The opportunity to meet award-winning celebrant Nicola Le Vievre
• Personal guidance from event planners Matt and Tanya
• Insights into the venue’s rich steam rail history from DownsSteam volunteers

The Carriage Affair concept combines heritage atmosphere with affordable elegance, creating memorable celebrations that feel both relaxed and beautifully curated.

As part of the showcase, couples who book an element on the day will receive $200 off their package price.

The event will be held at DownsSteam Toowoomba, 16 Cambooya Street, Drayton, and is a complimentary, child-free, register-to-attend event with limited places available.

Couples registering are encouraged to include their names, wedding date (or proposed date), and answer two fun questions:
