Casual Gatherings to Formal Dining

DownsSteam Tourist Railway & Museum is a versatile venue offering our eye-catching country style railway station, platform, unique carriages and outdoor spaces for any special occasion, promotion or corporate requirements.

Depending on your function needs we can cater for casual events to formal dining and offer a range of menu options and prices for morning or afternoon tea and lunch gatherings. Our Track Pack lunches are very popular with bus groups.

We cater for groups from 20 to 68 people. The Lady MacGregor dining car has seating for 30 diners and the Sister Kenny dining car has seating for 38 diners. Both dining cars are fitted with reverse-cycle air-conditioning for comfort.

All catered events include site entry and a complimentary informative site tour of the DownsSteam Precinct with a tour guide including the Dreamtime Journey Coach, workshop and a selection of rollingstock.

Terms & Conditions

• DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum requires a deposit of 25% of the total amount payable on confirmation of the booking.
  This deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled by your group, no less than 7 days prior to your function date.
• DownsSteam Tourist Railway and Museum requires confirmation of final numbers and menu no later than 5 working days prior to your
  function, after which time the amount payable by your group will be for the total number of guests as confirmed.
• Payment in advance is preferred.
